Role: Clinical Psychologist

Location: Leeds

Job Description:

Working as part of a multi/inter disciplinary team, you will provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within the BIRT neurobehavioural model to service users with acquired brain injury. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and service users.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury, utilising and interpreting information from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self report scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, family members and others involved in the service user’s care.
Participating and contributing a psychological perspective in multi/inter disciplinary meetings concerned with the delivery and development of clinical services.
Remaining informed of current research and evaluations to support evidence-based practice in your professional work and contributing this perspective in the multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements:

Knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to the service users.
Experience in producing clinical reports.
Ability to research, analyse and manage complex multi-factorial clinical information from a range of sources.
Preferred qualifications:

Degree in Psychology, accepted by BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent.
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or its equivalent to meet requirements to register as a practitioner psychologist with the HCPC
Registered with the HCPC.
