HGV Class 1 Day Driver

Temp to Perm vacancies – 12 weeks with the agency and then you move over to the client full time.

Bardon Hill Industrial Estate, Coalville, LE67.

My client is a well-established haulier based out of Coalville, Leicestershire. With general haulage vehicles as well as connections to the one of the industries award winning pallet networks. My client thrives on the family values that they have carried on from their first opening.

Job role will include:

(Apply online only) start times / Monday – Friday / Averaging 55 hours a week.

12 hours shifts – nights out are optional and are entirely up to the driver. – Less 45 minute break

General transport - Curtain sided vehicles. You will be required to strap / unstrap load.

Mostly driving however, there will be a requirement to assist loading & unloading if required by the Clients Customers with the use of a pump truck.

Complete POD's & Return them to the transport office.

Ensuring goods are safely secured.

Completing LGV vehicle defect and maintaining logs.

You will be required to have a face to face interview with the client which will last 30-45 minutes.

PAYE DAYS

MON – FRI £14.50 (Holiday seperate to rate)

What we are looking for:

A valid full category CE Licence (Class 1) 8 months minimum.

No more than 6 points on driving licence.

NO DD, DR, IN or MS90 conviction codes due to insurance restrictions

Minimum age 25 years due to insurance criteria

Drivers will be required to have a good attitude and able to work by themselves or with a team.

Demonstrates excellent communication skills.

Have good customer service skills and an eye for detail.

Able to manage your time and deliveries well (avoiding infringements at all costs).
