The General Manager of Children's Services will report to the Director of Children's Services, overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the Children and Young People's Mental Health Community Services. This role includes ensuring clinical excellence across all services.

Key Requirements for Applicants:

* CAMHS/Health Experience: Proven experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or a related health field.

* Senior Leadership and Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years in senior leadership and management roles.

* Operational and System Experience: Demonstrated experience in project or programme management.

* Multi-Team and Multi-Site Management: Experience in managing multiple teams and sites effectively.

Main Responsibilities

* Leadership and Management: Partner with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Leads to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care. Provide strong leadership to manage complex clinical services and implement systems and processes to meet future challenges.

* Strategic Focus: Work with the Head of Business and Transformation to lead transformational and integration projects, collaborating with partners across the Integrated Care Partnership and Integrated Care System for improved health outcomes.

* Operational Management: Ensure the delivery of strategic plans within a complex framework, including the development and optimization of Crisis and urgent care services, specialist services, Core CAMHS, Early Help, and admission avoidance.

* Financial and Performance Accountability: Responsible for financial performance related to delegated budgets and operational performance, reporting to the Directorate and Trust Board as required.

* Policy Implementation: Lead the implementation of new Trust-wide policies and coordinate the development of service policies.

* Staff Management: Manage operational staff and Multi-Professional Teams, providing leadership and support to Clinical Leads, Team Leads, and service managers.

* Service Improvement: Promote continuous, evidence-based improvement in all service areas, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-focused services.

Key Responsibilities

* Operational Leadership: Provide leadership for operational staff, ensuring the integration and standardization across sub-directorates.

* Strategic Development: Develop strategic proposals consistent with the Trust's operational objectives.

* Quality and Safety: Promote a culture of safety, quality, openness, and accountability, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.

* Performance Management: Develop robust performance management systems and support managers in meeting delivery standards and targets.

* Innovation and Patient-Centered Care: Foster a flexible environment that nurtures innovation in response to patients' needs and promotes teamwork.

Qualifications

* Education: Educated to Master's level or equivalent.

* Specialist Training: Evidence of other specialist management training at the postgraduate level or equivalent experience.

* Continuing Professional Development: Evidence of CPD in a health specialist area
