Job Description: Job Title:
Physical Therapist (PT) (able to support both PT and Occupational Therapy OT review types)
To assist the Utilization Management Team in conducting chart reviews to determine the medical necessity of physical, occupational and speech therapy authorization requests. Includes process and performance improvement consulting: training, auditing, calibration session(s), and Peer to Peer support/coaching.
Must Have Skills:
1. Prior experience in chart review and application of clinical criteria
2. Prior experience with maintenance therapy services for children with chronic health conditions
3. Familiarity with Kentucky Medicaid Therapy Regulations
Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Utilization Management Team (Nurses and Medical Directors) in the evaluation of the medical necessity of select therapy services
2. Providing recommendations to the Health Plan
Required Years of Experience: 3 years
Required Licensure / Education: Unrestricted Licensed Therapist in the State of Kentucky

Hours per Week: No more than 4 hours per day (hours will vary depending on volume/needs)

Are there time zone requirements that the resource(s) must work within (i.e., must work PST hours)? EST Preferable
What is the typical schedule/shift going to be (i.e., 8am 5pm)? Varies depending on review volume; UM hours of operation are 8 AM 530 PM EST
