FLT / Warehouse Operative

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative for our client based in Basildon. This varied, full time, permanent role is working for a forward-thinking company who looks after its staff and can offer the right employee opportunities for growth. You will need previous experience in a similar role along with Counterbalance / Reach FLT Licences to be considered for this role.

Your day to day duties will include: -

* Ensuring all equipment and warehouse are clean, tidy and orderly.

* Carrying out daily checks of all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use.

* Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods.

* Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and damage free.

* Reporting quality variances to the Warehouse Manager.

* Raising concerns/issues with the Manager as soon as they are noted.

* Booking in of all incoming stock and storing in a safe manner, ensuring these are put in the correct locations.

* Picking and preparing products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

* Keeping the warehouse secure, reporting any discrepancy in stock to the Manager and ensuring the warehouse is never left unattended when the shutters are open.

* Assisting in all warehouse roles, not just one primary role.

Essential requirements are: -

* Previous experience in a similar role

* Physically capable with Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Licences

* Good communication, organisational and numerical skills

* Strong team player who is also able to work on their own initiative

* Flexible and willing to go the extra mile when required

In return for your hard work, our client is offering £28,000pa plus a good company benefits package.

The working hours for this role are 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
