A Civil Engineering, Formwork and Temporary Works company based in Haydock is looking for an Electrical Technician to join their design workshop team. The purpose of your role is to build monitoring boxes the size of a laptop, although a few times thicker, to monitor Air Quality, Dust and Vibrations of structures including Supports, Bridges and Buildings. You will carry out testing, calibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment, working in accordance with company SHEQ Policies. All designs are completed in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 management systems so familiarity with these standards from another role would be beneficial.
There is plenty of scope with the role on a day-to-day level, you will be downloading the programmes on to the equipment, building the housings and then passing the product to site and assisting with fitting and analysis of the results whilst maintaining company records in an accurate and timely manner.
In terms of career progression as an Electrical Technician in Haydock, you will have the opportunity to progress within the Monitoring team. You may wish to head down the Programming side, which the business has a separate team who write the programmes that are used on these products. If you are keen to go down the computer side of things this will be supported, and software development is a realistic career route for you.

Essential requirements for the role:

Layout and wire control panels or systems experience
Panel wiring and cabling experience
Electrical/Electronics/ Telecoms experience
Ability to work from Wiring DrawingsPreferred attributes for the role:

Electrical / Electronic NVQ Level 3/ Telecommunications / IT
17th Edition/ Wiring and Inspection Qualified
