A Data Analyst is needed at an established company in Nottingham as it continues a period of growth and expansion.
The individual will come in at the start of an exciting project and will have the ability to really make their mark on it.
Responsible for performing data analysis in support of the firm’s data analytics, management information and data governance activities. This includes supporting the data and architecture team by providing insights into the structure and make up of data. Other aspects of the role include managing and responding to ad-hoc data requests, liaising with key data suppliers and consumers, and improving data quality. The data analyst will take a leading role in our Data Improvement work as part of our Data Strategy, providing guidance on best practices to colleagues throughout the business.
What does the role actually involve?
* Collecting, analysing, and reporting data to meet business needs and to support the wider data and architecture team
* Designing, creating, and populating ad-hoc databases to meet data analytical needs
* Documenting data lifecycles and how they relate to business processes
* Identifying new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, quality, analysis, and reporting
* Supporting the data analytics team in the developing and maintenance of the firm’s data warehousing, BI and MI capabilities
* Working closely with stakeholders to help them understand their data and unlock the potential for data to support their business objectives
