Londinum are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Project Manager to lead retail refurbishments in Reading?

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to ensure efficient and profitable execution of assigned projects, adhering fully to Health & Safety regulations and contract terms. Key priorities include maintaining high standards of work, ensuring safety protocols, meeting deadlines, and achieving client satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supervising, managing, and training Trainee Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Site Managers/Supervisors, and direct trade operatives.
* Understanding contract design and construction drawings proficiently.
* Communicating relevant information with clients, their representatives, or on-site personnel.
* Managing specialist domestic and nominated sub-contractors.
* Enforcing and monitoring Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site.
* Participating in regular site meetings with clients, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Planning Supervisors, etc.
* Preparing contractor’s reports, contract programmes, and progress reports for site meetings.
* Pricing and agreeing on instructions with clients or their representatives.
* Formulating valuations and final accounts.
* Assisting the Estimator in tender/estimate preparation.
* Monitoring and reporting on job profitability.
* Ensuring timely receipt of ordered materials.
* Authorizing purchase invoices and trade operatives' time sheets.
* Maintaining company vehicles to an acceptable standard.
* Attending regular report and update meetings with Senior Management.
* Procuring, negotiating terms, and monitoring the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Identifying and implementing service improvements.
* Procuring new clients and suppliers.
* Handling, documenting, and investigating complaints related to service.
* Ensuring consistent levels of customer care.
* Providing cover for other staff during absences.
* Regularly using the company's computer system and other software.
* Undertaking clearances and Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service checks as required. This is a full-time position with a 42-hour workweek, involving daily travel and occasional overnight stays as necessary for business needs.
