Estimator - Water Utilities
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Location: Balcombe
We are working with an established water infrastructure client of ours who are now looking for an experienced Estimator to come and join their team in West Sussex. The purpose of this role is to produce project tender packages for existing and new clients within the water industry.
Role Summary
* Interpreting the project brief and producing a pricing schedule capturing all scope required.
* Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour, and equipment.
* Conducting site visits with the supply chain as required to obtain quotes.
* Obtaining and assessing quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame.
* Liaising with the project controls team to build a tender programme for the works to ensure adequate project preliminaries are applied.
* Assessing the risk levels associated with the project and ensuring adequate risk is applied to price and programme.
* Preparing and presenting tender quotations internally for review and approval.
* Preparing and presenting tender quotations to the client.
* Assisting with bids for new contracts/frameworks
* Assisting with handover to the project delivery team and supporting the activities of buyers where required.
* Working collaboratively with all other departments and supporting senior managers within the business.
* Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.

* Ability to take decisions and demonstrate accountability and integrity.
* Ability be an active and participating team member, able to transfer skills to others to achieve business objectives.
* Ability to troubleshoot and strategize to meet the long-term vision of the company.
* Problem solver and target driven individual.
* Ability to deliver required results while working in a high-pressure environment.
* 5 years’ experience in similar role
Qualifications
* EUSR water hygiene card
* Competent in using Microsoft Word & Excel
* Clean UK driving licence
