Position: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) – Intervention Specialist

Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £80-£90 per day

Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term

Role Overview: As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and emotional development of students within the school. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct targeted interventions aimed at addressing the specific learning needs of Key Stage 2 students. This role requires patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to see every child succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting one-on-one or small group interventions to support students in reaching their academic targets.
• Collaborating with class teachers to identify areas for intervention and track student progress.
• Providing additional support to students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) as required.
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of intervention materials and resources.
• Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

• Experience working with Key Stage 2 students in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
• A patient and empathetic approach to working with children, particularly those who may require additional support.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
• A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
