Paint Technician

Automotive Repair Systems Ltd is one of the largest independent SMART Repair companies in the UK, with over 150 mobile and static paint technicians working on behalf of us. Due to our structured expansion programme, we are now seeking an additional paint repair technician to be based at one of our static SMART/Paint Repair Booth in Bristol.
The Job - Paint Technician📌
* Monday – Friday
* 08:00 – 17:30 (finish time may vary depending on dealership working hours)
* £35,000 + Commission OTE £45,000 - £50,000
* Bristol BS34
Duties Paint Technician 📑
A paint technician will be responsible for running our spray booth, completing checks that the vehicles has been masked and prepped correctly, setting up and using a spray gun, mixing paint, matching colours, using filler, primer and lacquer, acknowledging safety regulations and assessing the job is able to be carried out.
Repairs on vehicles will include:
* Minor scuffs and scratches
* Paint blemishes
* Stone chips
* Wings / doors sprayed
* Small dents
Experience 🥼
* Minimum of 3 years experience within a paint spraying environment
* Preferably automotive / motor trade background but not essential
* Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in painting
Requirements Paint Technician 📂
* Valid full UK driving licence
* Knowledge of filler
* Able to paint a minimum of 2 vertical panels and blend
* Right to work in the UK
* Strong customer service
* Good time keeper
* Basic maths and English required
* Been in previous customer facing roles
* Great attention to detail
All suitable applicants would be invited to undergo a technical assessment and interview at our regional centre in Liverpool before any offer is made. Following this, further training will be given relating to our company procedures and requirements, as appropriate.
