The role

The Head of Policy Insight and Performance ensures that Orbit’s policies, procedures and performance management frameworks are proactively reviewed and updated, providing assurance against a changing regulatory and legislative environment.  The role informs the effective and efficient delivery of business strategy, plans and policies that impact every one of our customers.

This role is part of Corporate Services where you'll help us give colleagues the strategic direction and support they need to be brilliant.

What you'll achieve

Ensure an effective policy environment and performance management framework to meet regulatory requirements and business needs

Maintain that all strategies, policies and procedures are compliant with legal and regulatory standards, are up to date and reflect best practice.

Produce and deliver regulatory and performance returns.

Collaborate with Boards, Executive and Leadership teams to lead the performance management planning process and develop corporate delivery plans and timetables.

Lead the approach to research and insight to support business planning, service delivery and innovation.

Provide insight and support to projects and external partnership activities.

Motivate, lead and develop the team to achieve effective performance and engagement.

Maintain excellent knowledge of current housing policy and regulatory issues including best practice and innovations to support policy development.

Implement best practice and controls concerning the incoming consumer regulations.

Lead the GIS function to provide high quality spatial reporting and insight to inform business requirements.

Knowing of Housing regulation and legislation

Proven experience of policy management and development in regulatory and legislative environments

Experience of corporate and business planning

Experience of using data to analyse performance and inform strategy

Proven experience of policy and strategy development

Ability to oversee effective performance management frameworks
