Experience of working in a high-speed food manufacturing environment?
Strong electrical maintenance experience but with enough mechanical know-how to be able to fault find and carry out non-complex mechanical repairs?
I’ve got just the role for you!
This opportunity would be ideal for someone who has:
* Successfully completed an electrical apprenticeship
* Has at least 3-4 years of site-based experience
* Worked in either the food industry or another regulated sector (such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical device or biotech)
* Someone who is now looking to push on with their career within an established team and business. A true opportunity to continue to develop, learn and grow in a supportive, mature environment.
This is a maintenance technician position where you will be able to have autonomy, where suitable, but be working within a wider team, who will support you, just as you will be expected to support them.
Daily tasks will include all aspects of typical maintenance engineering that you would expect such as:
* Fault finding
* Trouble shooting
* PPM’s (planned maintenance)
* Installation works
* Reactive repairs
* Corrective measures
You will also be supporting electrical maintenance requirements in both manufacturing and packaging areas giving you good exposure to a wide variety of machinery and plant equipment including filling and packing machines, metal detectors, labellers, conveyors and flow wrappers
Specific electrical experience around PLC’s, inverter drives and safety circuits is needed and experience of high and low voltage systems would be highly beneficial.
Due to it being a regulated, food production environment, accurate records must be kept for tracking and audit purposes. If you haven’t worked in a regulated environment before, it would be beneficial if you can evidence an understanding of the importance of this.
The team here really do work as one, each being a specialist in their own area – this is a great opportunity to become the electrical expert of the team
Shifts are on a double-days, rotating weekly, earlies and lates.
