The Plate at No.6 restaurant is based in the heart of Windsor, Berkshire offering modern Mediterranean tapas cuisine. We are looking for Kitchen Porters to enhance the operational effectivness of the kitchen by providing support to our chefs in processing the throughflow of equipment, cutlery and other items.
The restaurant has around 28 covers inside with a further 12 outside and the small team aims to provide a friendly professional service to its customers.
Kitchen Porters will be expected to work efficiently often within a busy working environment tackling multiple tasks at the direction of our senior chefs.
The duties will be many including the following:
* To assist the Kitchen and Front of House with ensuring crockery, cutlery, glassware or other items identified by Kitchen or Front of House Staff are cleaned efficiently.
* To quality check items once cleaned.
* To ensure your conduct is polite, professional and that you operate in a safe and health conscious manner especially with the use of any cleaning equipment.
* To ensure all cleaned items are stored in a safe manner and placed in identified areas or as directed by Kitchen or Front of House Staff.
* To identify any shortages in cleaning equipment such as soaps, detergents etc.
* To ensure the sink areas are kept clean.
* Other tasksmay arise on a miscellaneous basis.
