The opportunity:
NWC is in search of a Campus & Event Manager of Operations that can be ready on day one to be able to jump in on multiple fronts.  This job will be managing all event activity on campus and managing event interaction with other partner events, other Authority events and maintenance and construction.  They will support the Event Managers, communicating with Denver Fire Department, working to get any permits, floor plans and other vendor information required to assist the event team.  Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Campus & Event Manager of Operations will work closely with all operations staff to set up standard operating procedures, campus management plans and implementation for events, maintain key relationships with partners and City departments that need to be aware of operations and events.

What you will do:
Campus Operations
Lead all tracking of event assets and lifetime use, inventory & replacement, and maintenance and recommend goals/objectives for operational efficiencies including any product research, tracking and maintenance ideas.
Manage security and parking contracts and conversion needs, oversight on contract compliance, managing reports and remedies and making sure all City, State and Federal staffing numbers are correct and placement dot map minimums.
Create proper training for any ticketing and towing procedures on campus and monitor that they are happening correctly.
Assist with Campus Coordination information and presentation on operational items.
Other duties as assigned.
Event Operations
Provide operations event support at client care meetings; other event support as needed.
Coordinate DFD floor plan submittal and approval process as well as monitoring permits for hazardous materials, hazers, flammables, and pyro also review event documents for operational issues, attend site tours and recommend solutions for clients and production.
Build a badge/ID program and key card program, room set and conversion program, DFD floor plan management plan and limited inventory program and implement making sure that zero event related code violations occur (F&B, NWCA, event, other equipment).
Ensure that parking and traffic plans for large concerts are coordinated and are communicated to Denver Police.
What you will bring along:
5 years of relevant industry experience in operations and/or events management
Bachelor’s degree preferred; or proven relevant experience in the field. 
Knowledge and understanding of facility software; industry best practices and trends in operations management .
Excellent communication and time management skills; attention to detail and ability to analyze and process improve strongly preferred.
High EQ and interpersonal skills.

Work location and hours:
This position can be performed through a mix of on-site and remote work in Denver, Colorado.
Compensation range:
The starting salary is $85,000 – $90,000

National Western Center is a reimagined 250-acre campus with new indoor and outdoor event venues, and more on the way! The brand-new Stockyards Event Center is a multipurpose space with two arenas, ample parking and views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. An outdoor plaza connects it to 20 acres of hardscaped yards for outdoor concerts, festivals, large equipment trade shows, sporting events, drive-in movies and more.  The center is just two miles from downtown Denver and adjacent to the RiNo Art District, with easy access from Denver International Airport via I-70. Home to CSU Spur and the National Western Stock Show, the National Western Center is an emerging urban hub for food and agriculture discovery. 
In 2018, the campus partners created the National Western Center Authority, a nonprofit organization responsible for operating, maintaining, programming, and promoting the National Western Center. The Authority is the primary entity responsible for ensuring the National Western Center achieves its mission. It is also responsible for developing a community investment fund benefiting the residents of the Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods in which the campus is located. The Authority’s work is well underway in preparation for buildings being completed and the larger campus opening to the public. The Authority is guided by a 13-member board of directors. The Authority is doing business as (DBA) the National Western Center.
