Job Description
The School of Professional Studies program is seeking industry professionals with experience in some of the following areas: entrepreneurship/start-ups, computer science/engineering, cybersecurity, information science/systems, systems risk assessments, technology governance, technology-focused business administration, human-centered and/or design-thinking practices, and/or leadership in technology operations to serve as part-time Course Associates for graduate-level courses in Technology Management. An Associate is a faculty line junior to a Lecturer who provides subject matter expertise and supports the instructional process for a course section. Serving as an Associate is an outstanding way to gain exposure to graduate-level teaching at Columbia University.
The Master of Science in Technology Management program at Columbia University is an evolving program designed to attract both experienced junior and mid-career technology practitioners seeking concrete leadership training within an applied technology learning ecosystem through either full-time, part-time or executive pathways. The program combines core technology fundamentals, adaptive curricular systems to integrate changes in the field, and a mentor/cohort model whose culture is defined by the collaborative, agile, iterative practices that mirror the broader profession.
