Landmarc Support Services are currently recruiting Training Area Operative – Variable Hours to join the team at Okehampton Training Camp, Devon.

As the Training Area Operative you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

This is a flexible role, offering you the opportunity to work around other commitments, or a way of earning extra income. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate, hours of training can be fulfilled around other commitments.

Variable Hours members of staff are guaranteed a minimum of 8 hours a month, shifts will vary but are typically late evenings/ early mornings, time and a half will be applicable for hours worked after 00:00.

Hourly Rate - £13.18

Hours of work - Variable

Contract - Permanent

*Rate is subject to formal settlement of current pay negotiations*

Main ResponsibilitiesWork in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment

Basic labouring

caretaking and housekeeping skills

Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives

Ability to complete documentation: * Basic IT skills

Be vaccinated against work place risks

Willingness to undertake training to work in high risk areas e.g. ranges & on Dartmoor

The Ideal CandidateKnowledge of H&S such as COSHH

manual handling

risk assessments and safe systems of work

Knowledge of working in a rural environment/ground maintenance

Experience of track and fencing maintenance.

Experience of communicating with customers/stakeholders
