Veterinary Receptionist

My client is a reputable, well established and successful Veterinary practice based in the Bicester area. They pride themselves on providing outstanding levels of service for their clients and have a team of experienced and knowledgeable staff who ensure that all pets receive the very highest quality of care.

Due to continued growth, they now have a wonderful opportunity for a full-time person to join their fantastic reception team. The receptionists are extremely important members of their team as they are front of house, so excellent customer service is essential.

As well as reception duties, the role involves many administrative duties which include supporting other office staff or management. Full training will be given on the Practice Management software and all other aspects of the role. Once a competent standard has been reached the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards the BVRA (British Veterinary Receptionist Awards) qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is flexible and who has an empathetic personality, ideally with experience of owning or caring for pets. They will have great written and oral communication with the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise accordingly. They must be computer literate and competent with Word, Outlook and Excel. A good standard of secondary education including English and Mathematics at GCSE level or equivalent is required as well as the ability to maintain confidentially at all times.

The role is based on 35-40 hours a week and with 1 in 4 Saturdays.

The salary will be £12 per hour and the practices offers a generous benefits package which includes employer pension, company sick pay scheme, generous staff discount and a training budget, as well as 5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays.
