Due to a growing order book and expansion, a leading precision manufacturing group has a new vacancy for a Senior Estimating Engineer to join the team. You will interpret engineering drawings to produce estimates & quotes while working with engineering to improve processes, candidates are sought who have worked in an engineering environment with costings/estimating experience.
Commutable from: Grantham, Sleaford, Peterborough, Spalding, Newark On Trent.
Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + benefits

The Role
Accurate translation of customer drawings and specifications within the quotation process.
Provide accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates, of machined components and complex assemblies for the preparation of bill of materials required for the quotation to the customer.
Create detailed production/manufacturing process sheets.
Attend meetings with internal departments, customers, raw material suppliers and service providers, to ensure that the most up to date information and questions are answered.
Work with the other members of the Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to develop the quoting module.
Liaise with the other members of the team in the preparation of commercial proposals.
Work with the customer in order to close out and win the work quoted.
The Person
With experience working in precision engineering environment you must have estimating/costing experience and be able to read engineering drawings. The successful candidate will be organised, with excellent time management skills and be able to manage multiple projects.
