The Opportunity
An opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer has arisen to join the process team within a well-established nuclear engineering solutions provider. In this role you will be working on exciting large-scale nuclear design, manufacture and support projects.

The Role
The client is looking for an established process engineer who has a proven track record of working on design and safety deliverables for highly regulated industries. Any experience with (FEED, Detail Design, Fluid movement, Effluent treatment etc) is desirable. Additionally, a safety savvy approach to engineering design is key – ideally plenty of exposure to risk assessments DSEAR, and HAZOPS.
Work locations include offices and sites across with an open attitude to hybrid working models (2/3 days a week working remotely).

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Ensuring that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
Producing calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design base documentation and technical reports and supervising trainee staff in production of same.
Supervising designers in the production of drawings and engineering models.
Producing Technical Scopes of Work.
Producing technical specifications, assessing tender returns and providing technical support to those packages throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning phases of the project to ensure that the Design Intent is maintained.
Carrying out design risk assessments.
Reviewing design changes.
Assessing concessions and technical queries.
Raising design quality plans for single discipline work packages.
Preparing designs for hazard identification and HAZOP studies.
Ensuring that adequate Reviewing, Verifying & Approval is undertaken on all their deliverables.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
Demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project typesDemonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.It’s great if you also have the following
Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience. and capable of registration with the Engineering Council.
Chartered Engineer status.
Experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
Breadth and depth of experience in a range of commercial or defence projects.
Experience working on a nuclear licensed site.Right to work and clearance
