Engineering Technician
We are working with a reputable further education provider in Derbyshire. They are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced engineering technician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support in Fabrication and Welding workshops/classrooms and aid in the maintenance of safe learning environments.
**Job Description:**
* Provide support to the engineering team in various projects
* Maintenance of the workshop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order
* Assisting in the preparation of materials for training sessions and practical demonstrations in fabrication and welding
* Adherence to health and safety protocols at all times
* Assisting with the procurement of equipment
* Regularly inspecting, servicing, and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
* Relevant qualification in engineering or fabrication and welding
* Proven experience as an engineering technician
* Level 2 welding or fabrication qualification
* Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team
