Transportation Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Transportation Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities:
Technical design duties including performing multi-modal design documents, calculations, report writing, scheduling, and cost estimating
Development of horizontal and vertical corridor design (streets, trails, etc.), including centerline alignments, vertical profiles, cross sections, and site grading
The position will require coordination with internal project team members across several offices, including structural, geotechnical, traffic, and water resources engineers, as well as planners and landscape architects
Coordination with subconsultants, public agencies, clients, participation in project meetings, and assisting with community engagement efforts as needed
Participation in professional societies like ASCE, WTS, and ITE will be encouraged
Requirements
EIT or PE License in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and/or New Jersey
BS or MS in Civil Engineering
Experienced with AASHTO and NACTO design standards
Strong interest in active transportation, complete streets, Vision Zero, and first/last mile solutions
Involvement in professional societies and networking
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for design and working within a team
Outstanding time management skills
Passionate about alternative forms of transportation such as walking, cycling, and public transit
Ability to balance multiple projects at once
