NDE Technician

This employee-owned manufacturing company are looking for an NDE Technician. Job specifications:

Perform Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) on castings and welds according to established procedures and specifications
Set up, calibrate, and operate testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
Interpret and evaluate testing results to identify defects, discontinuities, or irregularities
Document testing procedures, results, and observations in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during testing procedures to ensure the well-being of personnel and equipment
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to analyse testing results and recommend corrective actions if necessary
Maintain testing equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration
Participate in the development and improvement of NDE techniques and procedures
Stay updated with advancements in NDE technology, industry standards, and UK regulations
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as neededNecessary qualifications/skills/experience:

Certification to SNT-TC-1A Level 2 in Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
Certification to ISO 9712 Level 2 in Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), recognized in the UK
Proven experience in performing LPI and MPI in an industrial setting
Strong understanding of NDE principles, techniques, and procedures
Physical ability to perform testing duties, including working in confined spaces or at heights
