Party Chief

Due to continued business growth our marine client in Aberdeen is looking to add a permanent Party Chief to their team of staff. As a Party Chief you will work with structured rotations and will hold the ability to make objective decision timely and effectively, whilst under pressure, recognising where decisions should be escalated to a more senior authority.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
* Electronics, electrical, Survey or Computer based science degree or equivalent relevant offshore experience.
* Offshore Survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and / or Party Chief.
* Offshore Marine Construction experience.
* Familiar with GNSS systems (Veripos), survey software (Eiva).
* Knowledge and implications of environmental conditions and effects on survey systems and data.
* Knowledge of installation and configuration of technical software.
* Full understanding of calibration requirements and procedures of the survey systems and sensors.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
* BOSIET, MIST GWO Certification, ENG1 / OGUK Medical(s).
* Working knowledge of Oil & Gas and Renewable industries technical specifications and standards.
* Full UK Driving License.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Responsible for planning and evaluating field Survey projects in accordance with client requirements and company procedures, whilst leading the field survey teams.
* Preparing, processing, and coordinating the required field survey work, whist supporting the Survey & Positioning Manager as necessary.
* Establish and maintain project priorities and adapt to changing priorities and working environments whilst having an interest in developing new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.
* Plan, organise and direct the work of others.
* Develop new and innovative ideas to challenge existing methodologies.
* Promote and be accountable for quality customer service.
