Your typical day will look like this:

Provide leadership and management of the home
Deputise as manager in RM's absence
Provide on-call support
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations 2015 including the quality standards, Every Child Matters, the Children Act and other relevant legislation, guidance and company policy and procedure.
Support the manager in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people
Supporting the manager in managing the home staff team
Support the manager in aiming to achieve a good or outstanding Ofsted rating
To represent the home to outside agencies

This role will excite a person who:

Has experience in residential childcare
Holds level 3 in diploma for residential childcare or equivalent
Highly organised and efficient with MS packages
Good knowledge of people management practices
Flexible and hardworking
Confident team player
Driving licence and car
