Designer

Are you a Designer experienced in engineered timber who is passionate about the customer experience?

At Pasquill we are looking for a Designer to work in our Design Team, helping to deliver profitable sales and development of our customer platform through outstanding customer service and design excellence.

This Designer role well be a part of the Design team which is our largest in the UK. This is a unique role as not only will you be Designing bespoke timber trusses according to our customers requirements but you will be the main point of contact for the customer from design to order and will truly partner them, providing world class customer service.

Pasquill is one of largest suppliers of trussed rafters in the UK, with a nationwide network of design and manufacturing sites, supported by local knowledge and service. As part of the Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions' division, we share the group's common purpose of 'making the world a better home'; manufacturing timber products that have a positive impact on quality of life and performance, with an emphasis on sustainability.

This role is fully office-based, working 8am - 4.30pm Monday-Friday.

What we're looking for:

Previous sales and design experience in engineered timber (preferred)
Understanding of building regulations and relevant legislation (preferred)
A huge focus on the customer experience
Passionate about ongoing self-development
Experienced in Mitek Pamir software would be great, but any other Truss design software would be advantageous
Strong team ethicWhat you will be doing:

Managing a customer portfolio
Produce customer quotations, following the Pasquill 'Six Step Enquiry and Quote Process'
Identify actions to improve conversion rate of quotations
Produce high quality designs for customers within given timescales
Identify opportunities to maximise sales opportunities
Build good relationships with customers, communicate with them throughout the process and identify improvements
Resolve customer queries and complaints using problem solving techniquesAre Pasquill and Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
