Job Title: Fabric Technician
My client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fabric Technician to join the team based on-site at their client’s large Campus, in south Cambridge, to deliver multi skilled services for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive and minor life cycle works across our client’s site.
About the role
The primary focus of this role will be to conduct planned preventative, multi-disciplined maintenance and reactive works to the buildings fabric, plant, equipment, and systems, as well as respond to site engineering emergencies on behalf of our clients.
Key Accountabilities
* Use of a mobile device using the clients CAFM system, accepting jobs, ensure job SLA’S are not breached, sound updates on jobs for the client to view.
* Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks conducted to provide safe working practices through the mobile device.
* Supervise subcontractors effectively.
* Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
* Door maintenance and repair (including Fire Doors, training can be provided) Basic Plumbing repairs – desirable Tiling patch repairs, wall, and floor Temporary repairs to flooring carpets, lino, and screeds Suspended ceiling repairs Shelving, racking Lock changes/repairs External repairs i.e., patch brickwork Decorating and decorating Carpentry
Candidate Specification
* Experience in Facilities management
* City and Guilds in building fabric would be desirable but not essential
