Job Title – Machine Operator
Site location – St Helens
Responsible to – Production Manager
Purpose of the role - Our client in St Helens is currently recruiting for Machine Operators to join their established team on full time contracts.
Client brief - Our client is a large well renowned family-owned business in Manufacturing products based in St Helens and supply the retail trade and builders merchants across the UK.
KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy – Increased demand
Contract – Temp to perm
Hourly Rate - £11.44ph
Shifts – Monday to Friday days only, 8am-5.30pm
Holidays – Holiday accrual whilst temp, 28 days inc bank holidays when perm
Facilities – Fantastic facilities on site, very clean and tidy office environment, kitchen/canteen, vending machines, free parking
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - The responsibilities of these positions are varied but not limited to
* Operating Wood Turning Machinery within health and safety guidelines at all times
* Loading and unloading the machines with raw material and finished product
* Quality Checking/Spot Checking products to ensure they meet site and client quality standards
* Reporting machine and product faults to management
* Ensuring the machinery and production areas are kept safe and clear of debris
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
* Previous machine operating experience is essential
* Previous experience setting or programming production machinery is highly advantageous
* Ability to follow instructions and read and write in English is essential
